Classes, courses and retreats
Each class, course and retreat has its own settings
Weekly classes repeat by themselves, and each one has its own price, number of places and venue. A course, such as a beginners' course or a teacher training, is a set of dates that students book and pay for together, and you can run it again later with new dates. Workshops have a single date, while retreats can run over several days, and both have their own price and places. Private sessions are appointments for one student, booked from the hours you make available.

Your booking page has its own web address, which you can share as a link or add to a website you already have. It shows the next few dates and then this week by day, with the time, price and places left for each class. Students book without an app or a password, and they can answer any questions you add. If you're asking about injuries or pregnancy, a class's questions can be sent as a questionnaire after booking instead, with the answers kept out of notification emails.

Passes and memberships
Sell class passes and memberships as well as drop-in places
A class pass covers a set number of classes, such as ten, paid for up front and booked against one class at a time. A pass can cover just the classes you choose, and if a student cancels within your rules, the class goes back on their pass. A monthly membership is paid by card and renews automatically until it's cancelled. Students without a pass or membership can pay for a single class when they book, and everyone can see their bookings and pass balance in their own login.

Paying
How students pay
For each class, course, workshop or retreat, you choose which ways students can pay. Card payments go through Stripe into your own account.
Refunds can go back to the card or be given as credit for a later booking.

Plans and prices
Paid plans start at £15 a month
Every plan includes the main booking features, so Free is a good place to start. On Core and Team there's no commission on your bookings, your booking page can use your own domain, and the Macadamia credit is removed. Team is the one to choose if other teachers run classes or private sessions with you.

At around £375 a month in online bookings, Core costs less than Free. Paid plans start with a 30-day trial, and there's no charge until you go live, or 30 days, whichever comes first. Stripe's own card fees apply on every plan.

Can I offer a free first class?
Yes. A class can have a free ticket type alongside its paid ones, so new students can book their first class without paying.
Can students pay for a retreat in stages?
Yes. Students can pay a deposit when they book and the balance later, or spread the cost in instalments taken from the same card every month or week, as you choose.
Can I run a teacher training?
Yes. A teacher training is set up as a course: a set of dates that students book and pay for together, in full or in instalments.
What happens when a class is full?
Students can join a waitlist. When a place opens up, the first person in line is emailed and the place is held for them for 24 hours, though you can change how long.
