Booking system for pottery and art workshops

A booking page for your pottery studio, from wheel tasters to multi-week courses

Macadamia gives your studio a booking page where students can book wheel tasters, multi-week courses, one-off workshops and private group sessions. Payments go through Stripe into your own account, and for each session you choose whether students pay in full, with a deposit or on the day.

Free to start. No card needed until you choose a paid plan.

Tasters and workshops

Small sessions, with the places left shown as people book

A booking page showing the next few wheel tasters and workshops as cards, then this week as a list, with one session booked and one full.

Each taster or workshop has its own date, price and number of places, so you can match the places to the wheels or tables you have. Your booking page shows the next few dates, then this week by day, with the time, price and places left for each session. The description can say what's included, such as clay, glazes and firing, or paints and canvas. When a session is full, students can join the waitlist, and if a place comes up, the first person in line is emailed and has it held for them, for 24 hours by default.

  • Places set to match your wheels
  • What's included, listed in the description
  • A waitlist when a session is full
  • Free tasters with a £0 ticket type

Courses

Courses booked as a whole, from the first week to the last

The events list in the dashboard: a wheel taster, a six-week course, a painting workshop and a private group session, each with its bookings so far.

A course is a set of dates that students book and pay for together, so each student has a place for every week of the course. When it ends, you can run it again with new dates. One-off workshops, such as a painting evening, are single dates with their own price and places, and a private group session can be set up the same way for one group, with an unlisted link that works for them but doesn't appear in your listings. If you teach in more than one place, each session can have its own venue.

  • Run again with new dates
  • One-off workshops
  • Private group sessions on an unlisted link

Booking and paying

Book for two or more, with a name for each person

A booking form for a wheel taster with its ticket types, two named places, a booking question and a pay button.

A student can book several places in one booking, with a name for each person, so couples and friends can book together. Each person takes one place, which keeps the places left in step with the wheels you have. For each session you choose how students pay, including a deposit at booking with the balance paid later from their login. Students don't need an app or a password, and they get a confirmation and reminders by email.

  • Several places in one booking
  • A name for each person
  • Deposits, with the balance paid later
  • Confirmations and reminders by email

Questions

The main FAQ covers payments, your data and your domain in more detail.

Can two friends book a wheel taster together?

Yes. One booking can include several places, with a name for each person.

Can I have a concession price for the same workshop?

Yes. A workshop or course can have more than one ticket type, such as standard and concession, each with its own price.

Can I give returning students a discount on a course?

Yes. A discount code can take a percentage or a fixed amount off, with a limit on how many times it's used. Students enter it when they book.

Can I ask about experience or allergies before someone comes?

Yes. Each workshop or course can ask your own questions as people book, such as how much experience they have. If you need to ask about health, such as allergies, the questions can be sent as a questionnaire after booking instead, with the answers kept out of notification emails.
