Booking system for training providers

A booking page for your courses, from one-day workshops to residential training

Macadamia gives you a booking page where delegates can book multi-day courses, workshops and residential courses, and book mentoring or assessment sessions as appointments. Payments go through Stripe into your own account, and for each course you decide whether delegates pay in full, in instalments, with a deposit or on the day.

Free to start. No card needed until you choose a paid plan.

A lectern, a stack of course folders and a flip chart rising out of an opening macadamia shell.

Courses and cohorts

Set up each course in the way you run it

The events list in the dashboard: a multi-day course, a workshop and a residential course, each with its bookings so far.

A course is a set of dates that delegates book and pay for together, with its own price, number of places and venue, and when a cohort finishes you can run it again with new dates. Workshops are single dates with their own price and places, and residential courses can run over several days. Mentoring and assessment sessions are appointments for one delegate, booked from the hours you set. On the Team plan, each trainer has their own hours and appointment types.

  • Courses booked and paid as one
  • Workshops and one-off events
  • Residential courses over several days
  • Mentoring and assessment appointments

Booking a place on a course

A booking page delegates can use on their phone

A booking page listing upcoming courses as cards, then this week's dates, with one course booked and one full.

Your booking page has its own web address, so you can share the link or add it to the website you already have. It shows the next few dates, then this week by day, with the time, price and places left for each course. Delegates book without an app or a password, and one booking can take several places with a name for each person. You can add your own questions, such as dietary needs, accessibility or employer details, and the answers are kept with each booking.

  • Places left, updated as people book
  • Several delegates in one booking
  • Dietary, accessibility and employer questions
  • A waitlist when a course is full

Paying for courses

Delegates can spread the cost of a longer course

A booking form for a course with standard and concession rates, a booking question and a pay button.

For each course you choose how delegates can pay: in full when they book, in instalments, or with a deposit and the balance later. With instalments, the card is saved at booking and the later payments are taken automatically every month or week, as you choose. A deposit is paid at booking, and the delegate pays the balance from their own login, with an email reminder before it's due. Ticket types let you charge different prices for the same course, such as a standard rate and a concession, and discount codes can take a percentage or a fixed amount off.

  • Full payment at booking
  • Instalments at regular intervals
  • A deposit, then the balance
  • Standard and concession rates

Plans and prices

Core costs £15 a month and Team costs £25

All the main booking features are on every plan, including Free, which makes it a good place to start. On a paid plan you pay no commission on your bookings, your booking page can use your own domain without the Macadamia credit, and Team lets several trainers work alongside you with their own hours and appointment types.

  • Free

    £0 a month

4% of online payments, and a small Macadamia credit on your page.

  • Core

    £15 a month

No commission, your own domain and no credit. For one trainer.

  • Team

    £25 a month

Everything in Core, for several trainers.

At around £375 a month in online bookings, Core costs less than Free. Paid plans start with a 30-day trial, and there's no charge until you go live, or 30 days, whichever comes first. Stripe's own card fees apply on every plan.

Questions

The main FAQ covers payments, your data and your domain in more detail.

Can an employer pay for a delegate's place?

Yes. Whoever makes the booking can pay by card, or, if a course allows bank transfer, you can mark the place as paid when the employer's payment arrives.

Can I ask about dietary or accessibility needs?

Yes. Your own questions are answered as part of each booking, so you can see each delegate's dietary and accessibility needs before the course starts.

Can I charge different rates for members and non-members?

Yes. A course or workshop can have several ticket types, each with its own price, so delegates choose the rate that applies to them.

Can I keep notes from mentoring or assessment sessions?

Yes. Each appointment can hold preparation, session and follow-up notes alongside the delegate's booking answers. Corrections are added as further notes, with the original kept visible.
