Booking system for community and wellbeing centres
A booking page for every group, class and event your centre runs
Macadamia gives your centre one booking page for all its weekly groups and classes, courses, talks and events, across your venues and teachers. You can set free, concession and full-price tickets for each one, and card payments go through Stripe into your own account.
Free to start. No card needed until you choose a paid plan.

Groups, classes and courses
Each group, course and event has its own dates and places
Weekly groups and classes repeat on their own, each with its own price, number of places and venue. A course is a set of dates that people book and pay for together, and when it finishes you can run it again with new dates. Talks and one-off events have their own date, price and places. Everything sits in one dashboard, whichever venue it's held at.

- More than one venue
One page for everything you run
People can see all your groups and classes in one place
Your booking page has its own web address, which you can share as a link or add to the website you already have. It lists the next few dates, then this week day by day, with the time, price and places left for each group. People book without an app or a password, and one booking can include places for other people, with a name for each. When a group is full, people can join a waitlist, and when a place comes up the first in line has it held for them, for 24 hours by default.
- Places left, kept up to date
- Several people in one booking
- Your own booking questions
- Waitlists for full groups
Tickets, passes and memberships
Free, concession and full-price places on the same group
Ticket types let you set more than one price for the same group or event, such as standard and concession, and a ticket type can be priced at £0, with a limit on how many are available if you need one. For pay-what-you-can sessions, a sliding scale lets people choose what to pay within a range you set. Passes let people pay for a number of sessions up front and book against them, and monthly memberships are paid by card and renew automatically until they're cancelled. Members can check their pass balance and upcoming bookings from their own login.

Plans and prices
Core costs £15 a month, and Team costs £25
Every plan has the main booking features, so Free is a good place to start. The paid plans take no commission on your bookings and let you put your booking page on your own domain without the Macadamia credit, and on Team your other teachers can work alongside you.
Free
£0 a month
4% of online payments, and a small Macadamia credit on your page.
Core
£15 a month
No commission, your own domain and no credit. For one teacher.
Team
£25 a month
Everything in Core, for several teachers.
At around £375 a month in online bookings, Core costs less than Free. Paid plans start with a 30-day trial, and there's no charge until you go live, or 30 days, whichever comes first. Stripe's own card fees apply on every plan.

The main FAQ covers payments, your data and your domain in more detail.
Can people pay what they can?
Yes. With a sliding scale, people choose what to pay within the range you set, and you can suggest an amount. Or a class can have a few ticket types, such as free, concession and standard, and people pick the one that suits them.
Can we ask about access needs when people book?
Yes. Each group or event can ask your own questions as people book, such as whether someone needs step-free access. For health questions, the questions can be sent as a questionnaire after booking instead, with the answers kept out of notification emails.
What happens when a group is full?
People can join a waitlist. When a place opens, the first person in line is emailed and the place is held for them for 24 hours by default.
Can we keep notes about the people who come to our groups?
Yes. Each person has a record with their bookings, attendance and payments, and you can add ongoing notes to it. Notes can't be edited or deleted, so a correction is added underneath and the original stays visible.
