Macadamia gives your dance school a booking page where parents can book weekly classes, whole terms, workshops and private lessons, and buy tickets for your shows. Payments go through Stripe into your own account, and for each class you choose whether parents pay in full, in instalments, with a deposit or on the day.

Classes, terms and lessons
Set up each thing you teach in the way it runs
Weekly classes repeat on their own, each with its own price, number of places and venue. A term is a set of dates that parents book and pay for together, and when it ends you can run it again with new dates. Workshops are single dates with their own price and places. Private lessons are appointments for one pupil, booked from the hours you set, and you can hold a pupil's regular weekly slot for them.

Booking a class or term
A booking page that's easy to use on a phone
Your booking page has its own web address, so you can share the link or add it to a website you already have. It shows the next few dates, then this week by day, with the time, price and places left for each class. Parents can book for one child or several without an app or a password, and answer any questions you add, such as each child's age. They can also tick a photo consent agreement, and the wording they agreed to is kept with the booking.

Shows and tickets
Sell tickets for your shows from the same page
A show or recital is set up as a performance with its own date, venue and number of places, on the same booking page as your classes. Ticket types let you charge different prices for the same show, for example adult, child and concession, and a parent can buy several tickets in one booking.

Fees

You choose how parents pay for each class, term or event. Card payments go through Stripe into your own account.
Refunds go back to the card, or as credit for a later booking.

Every plan has the main booking features, so Free is a good way to get started. The paid plans take no commission on your bookings, put the booking page on your own domain without the Macadamia credit, and on Team your other teachers can work alongside you.

At around £375 a month in online bookings, Core costs less than Free. Paid plans start with a 30-day trial, and there's no charge until you go live, or 30 days, whichever comes first. Stripe's own card fees apply on every plan.

Does Macadamia support Direct Debit?
No. Parents pay by card, and they can spread the cost with card instalments or a monthly membership that renews automatically.
Can I offer a free trial class?
Yes. A class can have a free ticket type alongside its paid ones, so new families can book a trial place without paying.
Can parents book siblings into the same class?
Yes. A parent can book several places in one booking, and your booking questions can ask for each child’s name and age.
Can I ask parents for medical details and photo consent?
Yes. Parents can tick a photo consent agreement when they book, and the wording they agreed to is kept with the booking. If you're asking about medical details, a class's questions can be sent as a questionnaire after booking instead, with the answers kept out of notification emails.
