Booking system for meditation teachers

A booking page for your meditation sits, courses, retreats and one-to-one guidance

Macadamia gives you a booking page where students can book weekly sits, whole courses, day and residential retreats and one-to-one guidance with you. Card payments go through Stripe into your own account, and you decide for each thing you run whether students pay in full, in instalments, with a deposit or on the day, and you can offer free places too.

Free to start. No card needed until you choose a paid plan.

Sits, courses and guidance

Set up each sit, course and session the way you run it

The events list in the dashboard: a weekly sit, an eight-week course, a day retreat and a residential retreat, each with its bookings so far.

Weekly sits and classes repeat on their own, and each one has its own price, number of places and venue. A course, such as an eight-week course, is a set of dates that students book and pay for as a whole, and you can run it again later with new dates. A free community sit can have a ticket type priced at £0. One-to-one guidance is an appointment for a single student, booked from the hours you make available, and it can be held in person or online with your own meeting link.

Retreats

Take a deposit for a retreat, or let students pay in instalments

A booking form for a retreat with standard and concession tickets, a booking question and a pay button.

A retreat has its own dates, price and number of places, whether it's a single day or several days in residence. For each retreat you choose how students pay, so it can be the full amount at booking, a deposit with the balance paid later, or instalments taken from a saved card every month or week, as you choose. Students can pay any balance from their own login, and they're reminded by email before it's due. Ticket types let you offer a concession price alongside the standard one.

  • Day and residential retreats
  • A deposit, then the balance
  • Instalments at regular intervals
  • Standard and concession prices

Your booking page

One page for everything you teach, and it works well on a phone

A booking page showing the next few dates as cards, then this week as a list, with one sit booked and one course full.

Your booking page has its own web address, which you can share as a link or add to a website you already have. It shows the next few dates first, then this week day by day, with the time, price and places left for each sit or class. Students book without an app or a password, choose a standard, concession or free place, or pay what they can on a sliding scale, and answer any questions you've added. When a sit is full, students can join a waitlist, and if a place comes free, the first person in line is emailed and has it held for them, for 24 hours by default.

  • Standard, concession and free places
  • Your own booking questions
  • A waitlist for full sits
  • Confirmations and reminders by email

Paying

Fees and payment options

You choose how students pay for each sit, course, retreat and type of guidance session. Card payments go through Stripe and into your own account.

Full payment

A deposit
Students pay part of the price to book and settle the balance later from their login.
Paying on the day
Cash, bank transfer or card in person, which you then mark as paid.
Passes
A number of sits or guidance sessions paid for up front, with a cancellation inside your rules returned to the pass.
Monthly memberships

Questions

The main FAQ covers payments, your data and your domain in more detail.

Can I ask about dietary needs and health before a retreat?

Yes. A retreat can ask your own questions as students book, such as dietary needs. If you're asking about health too, the questions can be sent as a questionnaire after booking instead, with the answers kept out of notification emails.

Are my notes from guidance sessions kept private?

Yes, if you turn on sensitive client records. Your notes are then encrypted and can only be read by you, your admins and the teachers who see that student.

Can a student keep the same weekly time for guidance?

Yes. You can hold a regular weekly slot for a student, so that time is kept for them each week.

Can a student book a retreat place for a friend?

Yes. One booking can include several places, with a name for each person attending.
